This will be benefit for those who resell product on the internet.

There are tons of resale rights products on the internet but if you pick the wrong product to sell, then you will not make much profit.

Let me take some example to describe this.

When I was started as a newbie to resell product on the internet, I picked graphic product to resell and make some good amount of money. Afterward, I tried to resell some ebook the topic of ‘How to make money online’ like Affiliate marketing, Google adsense, Google adwords and etc. Guess what? The profit I made not enough 1% of my graphic product income.

There are numerous of reasons why the ‘How to make money online’ products are not selling well.

1. I’m a newbie (nobody know who is Sean Tan in 2006)
2. The resale rights products (How to make money online) most are theories ebook.
3. Thousands of reseller selling the same ebook and playing the price war (some even selling $1)

The ‘How to make money online’ topic has a wide range of customer base. You could sell to anyone that who want to make money online like housewife, student, teacher, internet marketer, taxi driver and etc.

The products will be everywhere on the internet and reseller are just keep the price cheaper than each together to get a sale. Why? Because they have no confident with the product. Make sense?

Like the reseller sell an ebook teach how to make $10k on the internet for $10 each copy. When they saw other sell cheaper than him, then they will put down the price again to against the other.

Think about this, “Why they want to sell cheaper to get a sale if the ebook content is real deal?” Because the ebook content suck and that’s just a game to make money online and some even include resale rights to the ebook so you can sell to the next victim. (smile)

Most of my products are tools, service and information. What does that mean?

Why I don’t sell niche product? This will be same as the ‘How to make money online’ issue.

Let say I have an ebook teach about ‘Dog training’. This is not easy to sell, because you will need to do article marketing, newsletter to provide some tips and advise to build up relationship with your reader and customers. This way, you can make some good money with that topic of ebook. (I’m not interested in those niche products, so I don’t spend my time to do all these)

If you’re selling tools like software and script, then it’s more easier to sell without doing much marketing. You doesn’t need to be an expert of the software to resell but at least know the basic how to use it.

Note: Not all the tools will make you good money but you will need to manually pick a good one to resell.

Here are some of the requirements you will need to know when you want to resell a product.

1. The product is not resell everywhere on the internet that anyone can easily find it on the search engine.
2. You doesn’t require to be an expert of that topic to resell.
3. It must be a quality product that you satisfied.

I have several products reselling on the internet that charge above $40-$67 for each copy. I’m not the creator of that product but I can resell for such price because I have done the research of that product and understand how quality of that product.

This is far more better than selling those $5 crappy products. For a $67 product, I sold just 10 copies and I already made $670 profits to my pocket. If you’re selling the $5 crappy product, you will need to sell 134 copies to make $670. Do you see the different?

I sell just 10 copies but you need to sell 134 copies. (which one do you prefer?)

Think carefully when you buy resale rights product. Read the product and do the research if this product will make you good amount of money. Otherwise, don’t waste your time to resell the crappy product that only make you little money that only enough to pay your electrical bill.

Are you busy for nothing?

When you are feel yourself very busy, ask yourself a question:

“What am I busy with?” and then follow with “I’m busy for what?”

Ok, the first question is what are you doing right now and the second question is you’re doing for what purpose.

This will happen all the time when researching information on the internet.

Like, you’re searching weight loss information on the internet and suddenly you’re attract by the website ads or promotion with other things. You will curious to know more about things while you’re searching for weight loss information.

You won’t know that you have already out of the topic.

You searching weight loss information but suddenly go to read skin care articles.

Sometimes I spent a few hours in my Wordpress blog for nothing. I’m planned to write a blog post but suddenly I was attracted by other things like email notification, wordpress traffic stats and etc.

I loved to watch the wordpress traffic stats.

Always remind and ask yourself 2 questions when you’re doing something.

“What am I busy with?” and “I’m busy for what?”

You will have a very clear mind to know what you’re doing and what’s the purpose doing for. So you will not waste your valuable time.

There are many ebooks and ecourses release every month. The topic could be Affiliate Marketing, Google Adsense, PPC (Pay per click), Selling on eBay, Product Creation and etc.

Don’t buy/ study multiple subject at the same time. If you have already learn about affiliate marketing, then focus on that subject. Don’t go to buy other topic course.

If you’re newbie that didn’t make any money on the internet yet, don’t buy the big package course. You will end up study the course without have the time to take action. I know there are some courses split into monthly issue. Newbie is not recommended to study that kind of courses.

Most people who failed to make money online, usually spend too much time on the courses and study the information. The right way should be 30% theory and 70% practical.

Remember, if you have already purchase some courses and ebooks previously, then stop buying another now. Go back and pick one of the courses/ ebooks that you have bought previously and focus on that topic.

Take action after you have read a few chapters.

Example: You have read how to register a domain name, hosting and setup your own wordpress blog. Go ahead to take action to register the domain name, hosting and setup wordpress blog. Don’t read until sales strategies topic and then start taking action just to register a domain name. It will be too late.

This is also one of the reason why most newbie failed. They complete the whole ecourse then take action to work with them. The right way should learn 30% from the information and then apply them into action.

Hey, there are some “GURUS” ecourse need to take 1 year to complete. Don’t you want to take action in next year? I saw some ecourse split into week1, week2 until week20.

Are you going to wait 20 weeks later to take action?

Remember, 30% study and 70% practical.

Can a doctor stop learning new things?

Do you confident to see a doctor that never update his knowledge in the past 5 years?

Whether it’s offline or online businesses, new things are keep on coming out fast. Let’s say mobile phone, a new model sell $1800 when it’s just released. Three months later, the price drop until $1500 because of another new model came out.

New books, courses and programs release every month, every week and every day. People are getting smarter after a new thing is came out.

In my previous post, I have talked about asking marketing question techniques. People are smarter than the last 10 years ago. You couldn’t apply the last 10 years old technique to attack on the new generation people.

If you have a friend that didn’t meet him for 2 years and you suddenly call him out for a coffee or lunch, he will know that you have something to sell him. Usually is MLM or Direct Selling opportunities. That’s common enough!

Sometimes I also receive a phone call from a friend that we didn’t see each other since graduated. Guess what? A direct selling opportunity to ’share’ with me. I’m OK with that, and totally understand that. (smile)

To make more money on my online businesses, I will need to read more, learn more, discover more, try more and do more. I’m not a genius, so I will need to learn from other people too. I bought a lot of courses, books and video to update myself.

It’s almost a month that I didn’t update my marketing blog. I went to China & Hong Kong for a week and just came back on 14th September 2008. It’s a good experience to go oversea to learn how other people live, do business and lifestyle.

Finally, I managed to spare 30 minutes to update my blog and I would like to share how to ask a trick question to get the real answer.

If you ask question straight to the point, then you will not get the real answer.

Here’s an example:

James is a shy man and he went out with a girl for dinner last night. Let say James is my friend (normal friend) and I want to know if James really had dinner with that girl last night. James probably will say “NO” to me because he’s shy to let people know.

I will use a trick question below:

“James, I heard you had dinner with a girl last night, how’s the food? Is it good or bad?”

First, I didn’t ask if he had dinner with a girl last night in my question but I ask how’s the food. I gave him 2 option at the last sentence. “Is it good or bad” (about the food).  Whether the answer for the food is good or bad, both answer is to proof that he went out with a girl last night.

Normally people will ask the question directly like, “hey, I heard you went out with a girl last night”. Mostly will get Yes or No answer. You will never know it’s a real answer with Yes or No.

Add some trick in the question will help you get the real answer. Never ask a question that will only get Yes or No answer.

This method work very well when you want to know your competitor information. I’m not going to go further how you can get your competitor information but the above trick question will work very well if you applied correctly.
